Modern Design of Water Supply and Sewerage Systems for a Planned 1000-Seat Educational Building at Fergana Polytechnic Institute

The modernization of water supply and sewage systems for the planned construction of a 1000-seat educational building at Fergana Polytechnic Institute is crucial. Efforts to ensure access to clean and quality drinking water, as well as to improve wastewater management services, are being intensified. This is aimed at enhancing the coverage of drinking water supply and wastewater services, thereby creating adequate living conditions and maintaining public health.

In line with the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026, approved by the President of Uzbekistan in Decree PF-60 on January 28, 2022, the following objectives have been set:

  • Increase the population’s access to drinking water to 87%, and upgrade wastewater systems in 32 major cities and 155 district centers.
  • Develop project proposals for improving drinking water supply in 4,658 citizen councils with partial access to centralized drinking water and 2,263 councils without centralized drinking water supply.

To achieve these objectives, undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students have been assigned topics related to the modern design of water supply and sewage systems. One notable example is the thesis work by Abdumalikov Ravshanbek from the 13-20 MKQ group, which focuses on the modern design of water supply and sewage systems for the planned 1000-seat educational building at Fergana Polytechnic Institute. This thesis provides conclusions and recommendations based on precise calculations regarding the use of rainwater and snowmelt as technical water.
