Quality Education: New Steps of the Department of Vehicle Engineering

2025-06-02

Professors and teachers of Fergana State Technical University Sh.N. Ruziev, S.M. Khodjaev, Z.M. Khametov and Sh.M. Sadirov paid an  official visit to Istanbul Technical University and stepped to take bilateral cooperation to a new level. The main purpose of the visit is to study advanced education and technological experiences, create a foundations for joint research projects and the implementation of innovative solutions. Negotiations in the areas of transport, artificial intelligence and modern engineering are expected to be relevant for both higher education institutions and will play an important role in regional development. Through this initiative, opportunities not only for the academic community, but also for students to acquire new knowledge and skills will be expanded.

During the visit, the delegation of Fergana State Technical University held meetings with leading scientists of Istanbul Technical University. Talks were held with Professor Mehmet Turan Söylemez and Professor Hande Demirel on the development of intelligent traffic management and real-time monitoring systems based on artificial intelligence. Cooperation in this direction will serve to increase safety, reduce traffic congestion and ensure efficiency in the transport system.

Professor Şafak Yilmaz discussed modern injection molding technologies, CAE-based simulation modeling and smart manufacturing methods. The parties agreed to implement joint projects in scientific and industrial fields. The delegation got acquainted with the educational programs, laboratories and scientific developments of the university in the field of transport, logistics and mechanics.

In addition, a conversation was held with Associate Professor of Bursa Technical University İlkhan Tunch on the development of multi-agent management models in transport systems. The signing of a memorandum of cooperation was discussed at the meeting with the head of ITU Technology Transfer Technopark Prof. Bulent Guloglu. The delegation also got acquainted with the production processes and engineering simulations at the EDB VALVE industrial enterprise.

As a result of this visit, the scope of scientific cooperation was expanded.

In particular:

Joint research is planned in 3 areas (transport systems, artificial intelligence, injection technologies);

more than 5 meetings and negotiations were held;

An agreement was reached on the signing of 2 memorandums of cooperation;

An experimental practice was organized in 1 industrial enterprise.

Statistics show that the number of international cooperation projects of the university has grown by 35% over the past year. The curriculum coverage has been expanded, and student participation in international projects has increased by 25%.

To show these results:

The bar graph can illustrate the annual growth of international projects.

It is desirable that the circle diagram represents the distribution by areas of cooperation (transport – 40%, technology – 35%, industry – 25%).

The visit increased the prestige of Fergana State Technical University in the international arena, expanded the opportunities for scientific cooperation between professors and teachers. The prospects for cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and transport systems, the development of modern technologies, and the initiatives for integration with the industry are recognized as one of the most important steps in the sustainable development of the university.
