In today's globalisation, international cooperation has become strategically important in the development of the system of higher education. Opportunities for students to study abroad and internships, and for faculty and staff to exchange experience and professional development take the quality of knowledge to a new level. Inter-university relations support research and are a key factor in bringing innovative approaches to education. Initiatives in this direction will not only expand the arena for personal development for young people, but also increase the international prestige of educational institutions.

Over the past year, Fergana State Technical University achieved significant successes in the field of international cooperation. In particular, more than 40 students participated in short-term foreign internships, 15 professors and teachers completed internships in different countries. In the meantime, 6 joint projects and research works were undertaken, 3 joint conferences and 5 master classes were organized.

In March 2025, the university delegation actively participated in the AIEA International Conference in Houston, Texas, USA. Hundreds of higher education representatives from more than 50 countries of the world took part in this major conference themed "Building bridges: Leading internationalization in a changing world". International experience was also exchanged at the seminars and workshops held during the conference, and new initiatives emerged.

The University's activities in the framework of international cooperation are evidenced not only through initiatives, but also through clear figures. During these trips, students got acquainted with the education systems of different countries, enriched their theoretical knowledge with practice and gained new cultural experience.

In addition, 15 professors and teachers participated in advanced training courses in different countries. They return to study advanced educational technologies, new scientific methodologies and modern educational approaches and share their experiences with students. This process serves to improve the quality of educational programs.

The university has implemented 6 joint projects. These projects will cover areas of research, introduction of innovative technologies, improvement of educational programs. Within the framework of joint researches, in collaboration with foreign partners publish articles, develop grant projects and conduct research focused on practical solutions.

Iat 3 international conferences and 5 master classes were organized. In the course of these events, students and teachers had the opportunity to communicate directly with foreign colleagues, discuss new ideas and be inspired by international experience. During the seminars and workshops, innovative teaching methods, research and education development strategies were discussed.

These indicators show that international relations have not only broadened the scope but also created practical outcomes for students and teachers. When compared graphically and schedulewise, there was a significant increase in international cooperation activities compared to 2024.

As a result of these initiatives, students had the opportunity to study, internships and practical experience in foreign universities. They got acquainted with the education systems, scientific backgrounds and cultural traditions of different countries, they expanded not only their professional potential, but also their worldview. This process allows young people to become competitive in the global labour market, master new technologies and form the future as a leading specialist.

Professors and teachers had the opportunity to study modern teaching methods, innovative scientific researches and advanced technologies together with their foreign colleagues. Further training, joint programs and participation in research projects can have a positive impact on their professional development and allow them to share their experiences with students. This allows to enrich the content of the subjects taught at the university and to update the educational process in accordance with modern requirements.

Research projects and joint programs play an important role in strengthening the international profile of the university. Joint articles, grants, and innovative research in new areas are carried out by research with foreign partners. Such activities not only increase the scientific potential of the university, but also contribute to the development of science in the region and at the national level.
