"CAREER AND OPEN DAY" AT FERGANA STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

2025-05-15

On May 15, Fergana State Technical University held a "Career and Open Doors Day" in order to ensure the employment of graduates and attract applicants to higher education.

Opening the event, the rector of the university Uktam Salomov emphasized that in recent years a separate system of employment for graduates of each higher educational institution has been formed.

The event was organized in two parts. During the first part, within the framework of the "Open Day", the graduates of the school got acquainted with the conditions created for students to receive a quality education at the university.  In addition, senior engineering students defended their final control works in the field of engineering in the form of a project with the participation of school graduates and university specialists.

The second part of the event was dedicated to the "Career Day", in which more than 4 thousand graduate students of the university took part, and more than one and a half thousand students and youth in need of work were registered to participate in the conversation organized in enterprises and organizations.

The fact that the event was organized in a two-stage manner increased its effectiveness. In the first part, the interest of the graduates of the school in higher education increased their interest in higher education by familiarization with the university life, the educational process, the scientific and creative work of students. In particular, the students' defense of the final control work in the form of a project revealed the practical skills of young people. This provided an opportunity for applicants to visualize their own future learning environment.

Such events serve not only to provide employment to young people, but also to train specialists who are in high demand in the labor market.

For this reason, the 'Careers and Open Doors Day' continues in a traditional way, becoming an important bridge connecting pupils and students, education and industry.
