A delegation led by the Mayor of the South Korean city of Ulsan, Kim Doo-gyeom, who is on a working visit to Fergana region, visited Fergana State Technical University and participated in the Navruz holiday celebrations on March 18, 2025. The regional governor, Khairullo Bozorov, accompanied the guests and showed them the rich culture and hospitality of the people of Uzbekistan.
Navruz is not only a magnificent celebration of the arrival of spring, but also the ancient traditions, unity and kindness of our people. These values were reflected in the Navruz celebration organized at Fergana State Technical University. Spring dishes prepared by university students, samples of national crafts, sumalak cooked in a dashkazan, and colorful performances made a great impression on the guests.
The national melodies and songs, traditional dances and handicraft exhibitions presented at the event reflected the deep roots of Uzbek culture. In particular, the process of making sumalak and the values around it, such as hard work and unity, attracted the attention of the guests. The handicrafts displayed in the pavilions - carpet weaving, weaving, jewelry and other crafts - demonstrated the creative potential of the people of Uzbekistan.
The members of the South Korean delegation were highly impressed by what they saw at the Navruz celebration and especially noted the high level of organization of the event. They highly appreciated the creativity, hospitality and devotion to national traditions of Uzbek students. Kim Doo-gyeom said in his speech that he had closely felt the spiritual wealth and friendly relations of the people of Uzbekistan through the Navruz holiday.
The Navruz celebration was not only a cultural event, but also an important platform for strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples.
