About 300 craftsmen from more than 70 countries of the world, international organizations, cultural and scientific workers, craftsmen of our country, enlighteners, activists and youth participated in it.
At the solemn event, the regional governor Khairullo Bozorov read out the congratulatory message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of the third international handicraft festival and the international ceramics forum.
By the decision of the World Council of Craftsmen, our ancient cities such as Bukhara, Kokand and Margilan were awarded the high status of “World Craftsmen City”. This year, the cities of Rishton and Shahrikhan are also joining the list of cities.
The city of Kokand, which recently received the General Secretariat of TURKSOY, was awarded another honorary title - the status of “City of Craftsmen of the Turkic World”. We accept all this as an international recognition of our work aimed at developing folk applied arts, - the congratulation says.
At the event, the President of the World Crafts Council, Saad al-Qaddumi, also spoke about the fact that the festival serves to connect the past and the future, gives the ability to promote different cultures, traditions and history to the whole world, and calls on all craftsmen to unite and cooperate.
He noted with satisfaction the types and development of crafts today, thanks to the far-sighted policy of the leadership of our state.
After that, the representative of Uzbekistan in TURKSOY, Shavkat Ortikov, read out the congratulations of the Secretary General of the International Turkic Cultural Organization (TURKSOY) and presented the mayor of Kokand with a special certificate on the status of "City of Craftsmen of the Turkic World".
The opening ceremony of the Crafts Festival included a grand concert program with the participation of People's Artists of Uzbekistan Gulomjon YOqubov, Mahmud Namozov, Zulayho Boykhonova, Yulduz Usmonova, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Abdurashid Yuldoshev, Botir Qodirov, Muhammadziyo, Imron, Jasmin, and other famous artists and creative teams.
The solemn ceremony ended with a fireworks display that shone brightly in the sky.
As part of the international crafts festival, an exhibition hall was opened today on the first floor of the "Great Scholars" Museum, showcasing all types of Uzbek applied art.

The event featured handicrafts created by 50 of the most skilled craftsmen and artisans. Such an exhibition is significant because it is held at a first-class level.

The exhibition was attended by the President of the World Council of Craftsmen, Saad al-Qaddumi, deputy governors of the region, the team of the Fergana State Technical University and the rector of the university, Salomov Oktam Rakhimovich, and craftsmen.


The exhibition also included exhibitions of products organized by Khudosi and products made by craftsmen.
