The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are aimed at ensuring a healthy, safe and sustainable environment for people. Fergana State Technical University, with its targeted activities, is actively contributing to the areas of SDG 3: Healthy lives and well-being and SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities. It is within the framework of these goals that an important event was held at our university - a large-scale training exercise.

On September 19, 2025, a large-scale training exercise was organized at our university to strengthen emergency preparedness and strengthen collaborative skills. Employees of the Fergana Regional Emergency Management Agency, relevant services under the Emergency Situations Agency, representatives of enterprises and organizations within the state subsystem, as well as the university's leadership and faculty, actively participated in this event.

The following practical exercises were successfully implemented during the event:
Safety and Health: Fire safety and evacuation procedures were tested, which is in line with our commitments under SDG 3.9 (Reduce disease and mortality from hazardous substances).
Sustainable Infrastructure: Emergency firefighting was carried out using specialized equipment and techniques, which serves the goal of SDG 11.5 (Reduce significantly the loss of life from natural disasters).
Community Empowerment: Students and faculty were provided with practical advice on how to respond to emergencies, which improved the life skills of the entire university community.
