September 29, 2025 The list of winners of one of the most prestigious awards in the scientific and educational sphere of Uzbekistan - the Beruniy State Scholarship - was entered by Nizomiddinova Maftunaxon Shoirjon kizi, a student of the Department of "Transport Engineering" of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Fergana State Technical University. This achievement is the result of not only her personal work, but also great efforts aimed at the development of the national education system.

The Beruniy State Scholarship is awarded annually to the most talented students by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This award is named in honor of the memory of the great scientist Abu Rayhon Beruniy and is aimed at encouraging achievements in the field of science and technology. More than 500 candidates participated in the 2025 competition, of which only 50 won. The inclusion of Maftunaxon's name in the list was decided by a committee of experts based on the quality of her scientific work, academic performance and practical projects.

Maftunakhan, who entered the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Fergana State Technical University in 2021 in the “Transport Engineering” department, has proven himself during his studies. According to the faculty's professor and teacher A. Abdurakhimov: “Maftunakhan not only deeply masters theoretical knowledge, but also masters its application in practice. His projects can benefit the national economy.”

Receiving the Beruni scholarship has opened the door to new opportunities for Maftunakhan. He plans to do an internship at the Technical University of Germany in the near future to improve his project. “This scholarship has given wings to my dreams,” says Maftunakhan. “I want to contribute to the technological development of Uzbekistan. The field of mechanics and mechanical engineering plays a crucial role in increasing the industrial power of our country. In the future, I want to inspire young people through my projects.”

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education of Uzbekistan, over the past five years, the share of girls among the winners of the Beruniy scholarship has reached 40 percent, which indicates positive changes in the direction of gender equality. Maftunaxon's achievement is especially important in this regard: she is an example of increasing the activity of girls in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field. Other students at the faculty are also inspired by her - currently, two new projects are being developed under the leadership of Maftunaxon, one of which is in robotics.

In conclusion, the fact that Nizomiddinova Maftunaxon Shoirjon kizi received the Beruniy state scholarship once again proves the scientific potential of the youth of Uzbekistan. Her hard work and creativity promise a bright future for national education. Through such achievements, our country is taking solid steps towards becoming a technological superpower. We wish success to talents like Maftunaxon and look forward to their new victories!
