International joint programs are the key to innovation in education

In today's era of globalization, international cooperation is an important factor in the development of the higher education system. Inter-university relations create new opportunities for students, and for professors and teachers, they allow them to master advanced practices. To this end, representatives of Fergana State Technical University are actively participating in prestigious international conferences, striving to improve the quality of education and strengthen their position in international rankings.

On March 1-8 of this year, the next conference of the AIEA (Association of International Education Administrators) organization was held in Houston, Texas, USA, on the topic “Building bridges: Leading internationalization in a changing world”. Representatives of many prestigious universities and international partner organizations from around the world participated in this conference. Nodirbek Ismoilov, Head of the International Relations Department of our institute, also actively participated in the conference and held meetings on new areas of cooperation.

On the first day of the conference, a seminar and workshop on the topic “Developing an international partnership strategy” was organized by experts from Lehigh University and the AIEA association. Also, on the main days, negotiations were held with prestigious US universities such as Indiana University, University of Minnesota, University of Missouri, Vanderbilt University, and University of Colorado, and a number of agreements were reached.

This conference was attended by representatives of more than 50 countries from different parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, America, and Africa, as well as heads and specialists of hundreds of higher education institutions. This large international scientific and educational arena also opened up great opportunities for Fergana State Technical University.

The university delegation held direct negotiations with 6 leading US universities - Indiana University, University of Minnesota, University of Missouri, Vanderbilt University, University of Colorado, and Lehigh University. As a result, the following important agreements were reached:

Preliminary documents on student exchange programs were signed, which will allow students to study at American universities for a semester or an academic year.

The issue of creating joint educational programs was considered, through which students will have the opportunity to receive a double diploma.

Agreements were reached on cooperation in scientific research and projects, which will create opportunities for publishing scientific articles, joint grants and cooperation in innovative research.

Opportunities for advanced training and internships for teachers at foreign universities were also considered.

The participation of the Fergana State Technical University delegation in this international conference was an important milestone in the history of the university. New partnerships will not only expand the opportunities for students to study at foreign educational institutions, gain experience and improve their scientific potential, but also create opportunities for professors and teachers to join modern scientific research, participate in international projects and master innovative experiences.

At the same time, these initiatives will serve as a solid foundation for increasing the international reputation of the university, further improving the quality of education and contributing to sustainable development. Participation in such large international arenas is expected to yield important strategic results not only for the university, but also for the entire country's education system in the future.
